PNEK is pleased to announce the following collaborative lecture: Philosopher Graham Harman (US) on Dark Ecology Tuesday 1st of December 2015, 5PM KhiO’s Main Auditorium, Fossveien 24, Grünerløkka, Oslo. Graham is Distinguished University Professor at the American University in Cairo. He is a founding member of the Speculative Realism movement, and chief exponent of Object-Oriented Ontology. Recent publications include: Weird Realism: Lovecraft and Philosophy (2012), Bells and Whistles: More Speculative Realism (2013), and Bruno Latour, Reassembling the Political (2014). A

Incubate is an annual festival which takes place in Tilburg, a small city in the South of the Netherlands. Now in its 11th year, Incubate is known for its innovative and groundbreaking program, each year introducing developments on the cutting edge of music, art and e-culture to its audience. During one whole week the festival occupies over 20 locations throughout the city, utilising concert venues, theatres, local bars, empty buildings and public spaces. Among 7 strong applicants, Hanan Benammar won this year’s travel grant from PNEK to attend the Sonic Mmabolela workshop in South Africa in November.
As from Aug 17th, 2015, Ståle Stenslie will be the new director for PNEK. Stenslie takes the job after Per Platou, who has finished his two 4-year terms. There were many highly qualified applicants for the job, and the board is confident that Stenslie is the right person.
