Utsikten Kunstsenter in Kvinesdal are open for artistic proposals in connection with a new, semi-permanent outdoor artwork to be exhibited from April 2010, under the label Digital Perspectives. The artwork should be using sensors (preferably organic ones), and have a production budget of NOK 220.000. The four best proposals will each receive NOK 10.000.

PNEK is currently conducting a survey amongst Norwegian artists/copyright holders, to quantify their knowledge about and attitude towards the Creative Commons licences.
This will be the first investigation of its kind in Europe. The results will be published here in September.
Ivar Smedstad has been appointed new artistic director for Atelier Nord, starting from Aug 1st 2009. Ivar has worked with video art and electronic media since the early 1980s and participated in several international video festivals. He holds a BFA in Performance/Video from San Francisco Art Institute (1988). Technical Manager at Electronic Arts Intermix, New York, (1988–92) and Senior Lecturer at the Academy of Media Arts in Cologne (1992– 2000). He currently holds the position as Associate Professor and institute chair at the Intermedia department of Trondheim Academy of Fine Art.
